Strong4life™ Manual Handling System
The strong4life™ System is a tailored specific training package to assist employers/employees with understanding physical strengths, weaknesses, fatigue and potential for Injury. The system is adaptable for all industry types as well as office ergonomics and also incorporates elements of our stretch4life™ fatigue management program.
One of our clients in the mining industry who has implemented strong4life™ across their business as part of their ‘Zero Harm’ goal has seen a reduction in manual handling injuries of 56%.

The strong4life™ training involves:
- Practical Learning Activities
- Active participation by all
- Learning the relationship between poor posture and strain/sprain
- Experiencing the effect of postures and stance on strength and endurance, balance and fatigue
- Ongoing coaching and assessment on the job

Using the ‘Sircle of Strength’ and ‘Strong, Stance and Step’ concepts, participants are given simple take home messages that will ensure they develop the skills to stay strong, safe and healthy in your workplace for life.
These skills are practiced in a workgroup situation an each participant’s competency is assessed at the completion of the session.
How long does it take?
Generally training sessions are a 2 hr session in the workplace including theory, practical and stretches on the job. Training can also be delivered as a train the trainer program.
