Vocational Intervention Services

Unfortunately, despite the best efforts, some workers are unable to RTW with their pre injury employer in the pre injury, or any other role. In these cases IPAR provides a seamless solution to assist workers find new employment.

IPAR’s service delivery strategy is driven by our commitment to provide customised rehabilitation and redeployment solutions. We recognise that there is no universal solution when assisting individuals with very different needs; so instead, we focus on the specific needs and requirements of the individual.

Vocational Assessment

The vocational assessment is the corner stone in assisting workers find new employment. Our Vocational Assessments include:

 Thorough assessment of work history, education, training and transferable skills
 Formal psychological testing if required e.g. DASS, WRAT, OSSI, Weighted Skills Analysis, OMPQ, Skills inventory, Self directed search etc
 Discussion of worker interests and preferences
 Where necessary training or retraining requirements – only to the extent that it is required to obtain available employment
 Detailed labour market analysis

At the completion of the Vocational Assessment the information is synthesized into a report where suitable vocational options are identified and proposed. At all times we seek to prove suitable employment is available, including obtaining medical sign off for the recommendations.

Job Seeking Assistance

Where RTW with a new employer is realistic IPAR are extremely well equipped to assist workers find new employment. Our program aim to self empower, facilitate and motivate candidates to find new employment

Elements of proven job seeking model include:

Rapid development of job seeking skills and capabilities to hasten the workers ability to commence job seeking efforts
Job seeker meetings, group classes and documentation aimed at promoting and managing compliance
Utilisation of dedicated candidate marketers and job placement consultants to source vacancies and market workers into new employment
A database of employers willing to provide worktrials/host employment and vacancies to our worker population
